My name is Jennifer Barker. I am a licensed social worker with an extensive background in the field of social work. I have a master's in education with an emphasis on early childhood education. I have a passion for working with others in pursuit of health and wellness. My background in the field of social work has taught me that every single human being has experienced hardship, love, loss, happiness, grief and joy. To meet people where they are, and to provide an empathetic ear can have an astounding impact on each of us.

I am a mother of a teenager daughter. I enjoy the outdoors and find fulfillment in the small things, but life has been a journey. My goal in the counseling industry is to work with others to meet their own goals and standards, as small or as great as they may be. The little things matter;  and so do the big things.  As I continue to grow and change my long term plans include obtaining my clinical licensure in the field of social work. I have long term plans of furthering my writing career and one day publishing fiction novels for youth and adolescents. I appreciate this opportunity to provide therapy services for Counseling at The Green House.
